Anyone here have experience or expertise finding and successfully applying for NSF funding grants (or want to learn with me)? I am looking for a way to fund my own on-going research project. The NSF makes much of an emphasis towards multi-organizational co-research. I am way way way disconnected and solo and need help integrating my work with that of others. Anyone else interested in walking this path with me?

Note:
I have written to the NSF asking to borrow a funding expert willing to give a talk at my Future Systems (BayCHI) group. I would think this AI meetup would find such a talk helpful as well. Any thoughts? Edited by User 10,413,765 on Jan 19, 2010 11:09 PM |

Note: I think the complicated part is proposal. About group proposal, it is good to know who has what, and what to propose as a group. You may thought about this already. ... slej1@hotmail.com |

And here is a concise paper on effective NSF grant writing by a researcher at Carnegie Mellon Note: Obama set into motion a new funding program for NSF called ARRA (the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) which increases NSF grant funding by about 7% a year until 2016 by which time total NSF grant funds will be twice what they were in 2006.
