Hi,

At the Dec 13th MeetUp, I gave a talk on "Primary and Symbolic Consciousnesses: Two Conscious Beings in One Brain". The foils I presented along with my page of notes for each of the foils is available at the following link:

If there are any questions or further discussions about these ideas please reply to them here.

Also, one question I raised in the discussion over pizza afterward is: Can you please help me think of some prediction that would follow from these ideas that could then be tested experimentally? In other words are these ideas falsifiable - i.e. are they science? I believe that these ideas do give novel and meaningful explanations for a number of different consciousness effects or discoveries, but that is not enough to prove that the ideas are true from a scientific point of view. Without falsifiability these ideas would only be the equivalent of philosophy. I am sorry if any philosophers out there take offense to this statement....
