Isaac Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics became a rich source of plots for many of his SF stories and novels. Being widely known, they have been examined in detail and are now widely recognized as inadequate. Numerous efforts have been made (and are still attempted) by various parties to either improve or replace them with more acceptable codes. But the field is still in its infancy and many opinions abound with little general consensus.
I only have a few things to say on the topic; not enough for a presentation but surely enough to inject into the discussion as needed. I am evaluating suitable introductory videos.
Those of you who missed it may want to view the video of the presentation Jamais Cascio did in March at the AI Meetup at http://www.openthefut...
